The Problem of Homelessness

In America, many people experience homelessness and hunger.  Because of the large number of homeless in need, shelters often have difficulty providing everyone the assistance they need.  In a study of 23 cities across America, 12 of those cities were unable to accomodate all the homeless in shelters and were forced to turn people away.  According to the National Law center on Homelessness and Poverty, an estimated 3.5 million people experience being homeless per year.  Over the past twenty years, homelessness has been on the rise.  This problem needs to be solved.  The question is: How can we help?
